I seldom do likes, but in this case I've made an exception. Dave was a real WISIWYG type, and you, Steve, are a good egg. The world could do with more of both, but I fear that is wishful thinking?

What a wonderful member of this community.
I will always remember him for his warm welcome and generous comments on my first hesitant photos. He continued to be loyal and dependable, a true gent.

It's hard to write... Knowing how warm and friendly relations connect you with Dave, the news of his death is very saddening for me. It's bereavement for many people... I remember his picture ''no energy...'', which proved to be prophetic ...
And we will pray the Almighty Creator to send down his light in order to Dave's soul would be able to find calm, forgiveness of sins and eternal rest in His heavenly tabernacles, for he needs neither our tears nor our praise and recognition of his work now - he needs only our prayers, the warm and sincere prayers... And let our prayers and condolences will be support for Dave's relatives in these sad times...

'Farewell Dave'
A touching tribute Steve. Thanks seems such a small word to give you Steve for all you have done for Dave and Fuji folk like me with all your updates etc and the comfort you surely gave Dave in his final days. I personally say thank you to you, for I was able to send Dave a card, letter and gift immediately before I left the UK to go on holiday which he would have read. I was thinking of him all holiday and was saddened to hear the news in Malta that Dave had passed away.
So my personal thanks Steve for keeping me informed and I hope you are okay as this must be hard for you to lose a friend too. I left a message on your forum thread this morning as soon as I could after landing home from Malta. Thanks Steve. Love Alison xx
